The walrus said, to talk of many things. This fair journal has served me well but I think it's time I moved on towards a newer, brighter future.

Those who wish to walk the path can do so at [info]odin_jones

As for everyone else, it's been fun.

Adieu.

Each and every day my job continues to lower my opinion of the average person's intelligence.Consider what that value was to begin with, negative digits must soon be expected.
For example, one would assume that in order for air to safely travel from one vessel to another there needs to be an (and this detail is key) airtight seal between the two in order for the air not to simply go wherever the hell it pleases.

Apparently, this assumption is incorrect and if you just lazily push the hose onto the car tire and air just comes out the sides this means the air hose is 'broken' , and that I am a bad person for not informing you of this issue.

It is just this sort of day that transforms me into the monster of legend, slouching toward some booze-soaked Bethlehem.Such is my devotion that the phrase 'vodka it up' can accurately describe my response to almost any situation.

Like coupling a caboose to my bitterness-train, this afternoon I over-extended my arm again and felt a sensation rather like a drawer full of knives incompletely covered with glad-wrap.
Joy.

If you're feeling anxious about the upcoming election, remember this:
Another Liberal Government and all its apocalyptic prophecies combined will be entirely worth the trouble if, tomorrow night, the graphs chart in their favour and the look of undeserved glory drains from the faces of all the ALP faithful.

It makes me all warm and fuzzy inside just thinking about it.

Hundreds of films get made in the United States every year, as numerous as they are varied. In this modern age of internets and facebooks, films are often widely discussed before shooting even begins.Sometimes, these films are based on existing properties with an established fanbase who will invariably whine about every decision then see the film 6 times on it's first day of release.

Every now and then you hear about interesting casting choices for a particular film that allow you to create a mental picture of what the final film will be like.Try as I might, I cannot make my mind process the following information

A Dragonball movie is now officially underway, starring that guy from War of the Worlds as Goku and Spike-From-Buffy as Piccolo, to be produced by Stephen Chow and directed by the guy who did Final Destination.

I've heard some wacky shit in my time, but sometimes you see something so completely deranged that it simply will not compute.

"I know it's a depressing view to take, but when these people are told that sex is death and that the sky rains poison then maybe endless masturbation is the only sensible option"

I had every intention of actually trying to do Nanowrimo (I refuse to uphold their ludicrous standards of contraction) this year, but it's been put on hold while I stop every 30 minutes to change my mind on what I'm writing- which at this point has now wasted four days.

What's happening here is pretty much what happens any time I do anything- I need some sort of direction or I'll either end up with nothing or a huge pile of blathering nonsense. If you'd like an example, feel free to read through the meanderings that can be found by clicking 'past entries'.

Now I need a starting point from you fine people.Doesn't matter what it is, a location, a central sequence, a character- hell even a particular trait I can stick to.
To use a poor analogy: let my brain be a tiny clockwork train, and you the lonely old man in his basement carving pieces of track.
